I had ordered 17x9 wheels for some new 295's and then later found out that these wheels had been discontinued. The manufacturer has a 17×8 available and my tire guy says they would work but he's not crazy about it. We're willing to go a different route and the Toyo Open Country R/T has approved rim sizes ranging from 7.5-10". The published tire dimensions are based on an 8.5" wheel. What's everybody's thoughts on various rim sizes?
