Greetings! Been searching for our first Jeep and was initially focused on TJ’s but recently opened our search to JK’s 2012 and younger... found this 2 owner ’12 JK Sport 6 speed manual, Dana 44 with 3.21 gear ratio, that appears almost entirely stock with the exception of the front bumper up grade. Frame and suspension appears stock and no signs of rust... Has all receipts for service and repairs... negotiated to $13k... any thoughts and wisdom for a new Jeep owner (hopefully) would be greatly appreciated... best regards, Robert

We are aware of the left side head crack issue but supposedly it has been addressed... any other issues that we should be aware of before making a final decision?

If they fixed it then it's okay, but then in the back of my mind it has a "scar", imo I still have to pass.

How many miles? If the cylinder head was taken care of there should be a record of it. If it was done at a Jeep dealer then there should be at least an electronic record. There was a replacement program for the left cylinder head and from what I read it was for up to 150,000 miles. Do your research. It sounds like a great price unless it has crazy miles on it. Also check for accidents and make sure it is not a salvage/rebuilt title.

109k miles... with a clean car fax... all service and repairs documented on the car fax... many thanks for all of the valuable feedback and advice! Jeep extend the warranty on the left cylinder head to 10 years or 150k miles, so I would have 2 years or 41k miles of coverage if that head cracks again...

Sounds great! Do a thorough inspection. I have seen used cars with a Carfax showing no body repairs when they did have obvious collision repairs. Not all body shops report the damage. If all checks out become another happy Jeeper.
