My jeep came with steel flat fender flares. I am wanting to go back to OEM and have a few questions:

- I know you need the front fender flare supports but do you also need fender flare liners?
- The bolts for the fender flare supports are M6x1x25

Is there any reason you need the bolt to not be fully threaded? I’m wondering if I can just get some bolts at Home Depot in this size that are threaded to the end?

Nope, you can go to Home Depot and just get the correct size bolt and washer. I can't recall what the name is for those bolts you're looking at, but the only purpose of that non-threaded end is to guide it into the hole easier.

Many thanks. Any idea on the fender flare liners? Are they necessary?

The fender liners aren't necessary, but they do keep out mud, and they will make for a quieter ride since you won't be hearing rocks getting kicked up against the metal inner fender.

Ok - may be a dumb question but there are 2 sizes of rivets with the OEM flares. Do the larger rivets go on the lip of the flares or are they for connecting the flare to the wheel well liners?

Also - does anyone know how long the 10mm bolts are that attach the wheel well liner to the body?
