Bought my 2015 Willy's manual transmission a year ago. Clutch felt wierd at first. But didn't think much of it. This past weekend went to the beach, things started feeling HOT. Pulled off onto the street and could not get into gear to save my life.....
Love the Jeep family. Guy pulled up, asked if I needed help, threw some ropes on and tugged me to the nearest parking lot.
Told me that the clutch is gone. Pointed me in the right direction on the kit, etc. Told me I better love wrenching, would need a few hours and some "liquid courage" to work some of them hard-to-reach bolts.
Thankfully, Jeep is in my garage waiting for the clutch kit.
Been watching many many videos. It seems like a daunting task. But..... I love a challenge.
Any tips, tricks, hints or direction to make this as easy as possible? I have floor Jacks and going to convert my jack to lower/raise tranny. May even replace the slave cylinder if needed.
Appreciate any and all help. New to the forum but I want to educate myself and maybe even teach my boy a thing or two..
