Hey guys, just got to Tierra del Sol. DW drove the Rubicon and said she smelled burning rubber for a few minutes. Now there check engine light is on. I have a code reader but the OBDII port has a (supercharger module of some sort) plugged in that reads Do Not Remove. Do Not recalibrate.

Can I remove it so I can plug my code reader plug into the port so I can read the code? It has a Magnuson supercharger .. 2014 Jeep JK Rubicon.

I can't answer that, but one simple call to Magnuson and they could answer it for sure. Assuming of course it was tuned by Magnuson. I can't see why you couldn't remove it temporarily just to scan codes, as long as you put it back.

My thought is that the "do not remove" is there because if you drive the vehicle with out the tune, it will be running to lean and you'll grenade the engine.

Thanks and I spoke with Magnuson and read the code. It was a mis-fire in cylinder 5. I also had a huge hole in my muffler. Just had the muffler replaced with a magnaflow and I erased the codes. They haven't come back yet but I only have 2 drive cycles on it...

Oh damn, that might do it. Glad you got it figured out from the sounds of it. Hopefully the code doesn't come back.

Thanks for the update!
