Hey folks,

I'm going to be moving to South Carolina this summer. I'm due for new tires and want to get a better fit for the area. So would you recommend sticking with all terrain or switching to mud? Just not familiar with the area and wanted to get every ones thoughts?

Thanks

Do you plan on doing any mudding or serious rock crawling? If not, the A/T will be a far, far better choice.

I've run both Duratracs and KO2s, and can't recommend them enough. Truly amazing tires both on-road and off-road.

Having lived in South Carolina while in the military, the A/T will be sufficient. But, and a big but if you plan on playing "swamp submarine", then yeah the M/T type would be a good idea. As you will find, the "Low Country" can be really low.

I live in Greenville, SC. We currently have KO2 on our TJ and KM3 on our JKU. Both jeeps are very capable on the trails around here. It depends on what you plan to do with your jeep. Is it a daily driver and you only plan to offroad every now and then? Then go with KO2. If you plan to go offroad every weekend and like to play in the mud, then KM3.
