A few years ago I got a DBOX (https://www.wranglerforum.com/threads/dbox.208664/) off the internet to run a blue light (volunteer EMT in NJ) on my 2016 Jeep Unlimited Sport. When I first installed it it seemed to work fine although it seemed the Jeep world lose power from time to time (ex. while driving all the gauges would dip to zero and then go back where they should be). After 4 or 5 months of this the Jeep was totally dead one day, when I removed the DBOX connections everything worked fine again. Today I decided to reinstall it and see if it worked (assuming I maybe had set it up incorrectly) but I had the same problem, initially it worked but when I checked it again after 30 min or so there was no power until I removed the connections to the DBOX.
Any thoughts on what might be causing this? Could it be an issue with the way the DBOX is wired or am I just drawing too much off the stock battery somehow (not sure how this would happen)?
