I have a 2015 JK with 110,000 + miles on it. Yesterday i noticed while i was driving around town, it sounded like the A/C fan kicked on. (the outside temperature was between 40-45F) I looked at my temperature needle and the needle was 3/4 of the way over. (normally it is halfway when the engine is fully warmed up) The A/C fan brought the engine temperature back to its normal position and i didn't notice any other problems. I stopped at the auto parts store and noticed that the reservoir for coolant was low, so I added ready mixed coolant to top it off. When i drove my Jeep later, the temperature would rise, then the fan would kick on and bring the temperature down. This happened probably 5 times during the hour I drove. I was wondering if this is the thermostat or the water pump getting ready to go. The Jeep produced heat no problem. I do not see any obstructions on the radiator.
