Oil Leak after Incline

Hello Everyone! I’m new here and I hope someone could provide me with some guidance. I have a 2018 JKU Rubicon and went to Hollister Hills SVRA today. I went up a pretty steep hill in 4 low and by the time I got back down I smelled something burning. Smoke started coming out of the bottom of the JK so I turned it off.

A fellow bystander came and inspected the bottom of the Jeep and said that it seemed like there was oil dripping off the top of the bell housing. He compared my JK to a gladiator near by and said that my Jeep seemed to be missing some kind of plug. Because this plug wasn’t there, the incline allowed oil to seep out.

I took a picture and video of what he pointed out from the top of the engine bay and I was wondering if anyone can confirm that this should be plugged with something?

Thank you!

My guess it's your oil cooler has started to leak and when you went up the incline the oil ran to the back of the engine and then down.
Hey! Thank you for your response. I checked the oil cooler but it didn’t look like it was leaking. I’m not sure if you’re able to see the video but there’s a big hole on the top of the bell housing and I’m not sure if that’s supposed to be plugged with something? I’ll look into the oil cooler more careful again. Thank you!
