2012 JKU Sahara
No lift (i don't think), aftermarket bumpers, stock fenders.
Currently have 275/65/18 BFG KO2 on the silver sahara wheels.
I'm looking to change them to black wheels, but the selection for 18in is slim and couldn't find one I liked. Can I go down to 17in wheels (and new tires obviously) without any other modifications?
I was looking at the Mammoth Moab Black wheel 17in with 275/70/17 tires, that's what extreme terrain offers and they'd mount them too.
Also looking for opinions on tire preferences. Falken Wildpeak A/T3W or BFG KO2s? Both tires would be 275/70/17 All-Terrain. Both are the same price as well, though the Falkens are in stock now and KO2s I'd have to wait a few weeks.
My jeep came with the KO2s when I bought it and I like them and the slight beefy look of them (compared to the spare tire that is stock 255). The previous owner left the paperwork for the tires and looks like they put them on at 50,000 miles and it now is at 125,000, but they're not bald! They don't have too much life left in them though. It's my daily, if i do go off roading its flat trails in the woods but not often.
