Ok...ordered up a set of Mopar lift struts...dealer wanted $73 each and my wife talked them down to $50 each. They are identical in size, shape and performance to the $27 for a pair Amazon units...but I hope these will last longer. I'm thinking ultimately the solution is a Metalcloak Game Changer lift kit...i was on the fence between 2.5" and 3.5" since the cost is similar...favoring going taller just to avoid wacking my head every time. I'm only 5' 10". However I am still on the hunt for a cheap solution...I might try adding an inch of threaded rod to the shaft with a coupler nut. -Mac
