Just swapped 3:73s for 4:88s in my JKUR Dana 44s and after the 500 mile break-in, the differential held a little less than 2 quarts of gear oil. The normal capacity is listed as 2.4 quarts. I assume the new gear set is physically larger than the old one and therefore displaces some of the oil. Has anyone noticed this before?
