All, new to the forum here. Was looking for guidance/insight on the 2011 JKU Rubi I purchased a year ago.Originally from Canada. Jeep came with what I have been able to identify as a Skyjacker 2.5" lift.

I have spent the last year repairing and replacing multiple warn out items on the rig along with upgrading the steering. No suspension upgrades to speak of but I am curious on where I should go with this thing. Do I pull out what's in it and start over? Do I continue down the path it's already on and just upgrade?

I had two TJ's before this one. Lifts on those were pretty straight forward. Some of the JK lifts can get pretty crazy from what I am seeing.

Most of the rides I do here is trailing and hill climbing. No major rocks to speak of outside of an off-road park or Drummond.

Any information is appreciated. Apologies for the lengthy post.

If it rides good with the lift you have on it then really no need to change it. If you think you want extra height then going with flat top fenders would give you more clearance and still keep a good ride.

Working through steering issues right now. Rig has crazy touchy steering and excessive bump steer. Upgrading front end and getting the geometry back where it needs to be is main priority right now.

On a side not I am also working up to relocating the EVAP can to the rear. While installing the needed exhaust route I did notice that the rear TB axle mount looked like it has been coming into contact with the factory exhaust. I'm sure this can be corrected with proper bump stop but, my question still remains about this style of lift. Am I limited on what I can do with the current setup with upgrades? Or should I start over?

I understand everyone's needs are different and this is a toy but it still does see some road time occasionally.

Budgeting 2k for suspension upgrades at this time and willing to take all advice on anything you guys have tried.

First thing you need to check the complete front suspension and steering to be sure it's 100%, then if your still having problems go from there.

Does it have adjustable track bars front and rear? You might check to see if the axles are both centered under the Jeep.

Tire pressures can have a effect on the drive and also the tire load, such as the plys.

So the steering is for the most part taken care of. After two new track bars and One ton Steering and a new stabilizer the steering is tight. Alignment checks out though I could use a set of ball joints with a 1 degree offset to make it perfect. Have to do some research on that so that is on the back burner for now.

Yet here I am looking at adjustable control arms and still wondering about this lift situation I originally started with.

Normally adjustable control arms aren't needed until you go over 3" of lift. A alignment shop would be able to tell you if you had to have them.
