I have a 2013 jk 3.6 5 speed auto. it wants to stall on the first shift in the morn...the longer i warm it up it lessens but still not smooth. I put it in drive it does it to a lesser degree. I let the trans warm up a little to about 75 and then shift to rev. Still hard but less. After a short ride and trans reaches 168 shift is smooth in rev. I put it in drive because its less torque on system then rev. I will change the crank shaft position sensor...cheap fix to try. Note: diff topic- check your exhaust flange bolts. Found mine rotted or gone all 4. Found it on a pre winter check. My jk is going to be 10 years old in jan '23. Picked up this issue when i got it...same bull shit with dealer...unable to duplicate condition...no code. Only happens at the start of th day.
