I am trying to decide whether to trim my stock fenders vs replace them. I have vacation time coming up next week and I am going to put on a leveling kit and "maybe" trim the fenders. I like the way the guys at DPG Offroad trimmed the fenders in the pic below. He has a how to video that shows him trimming just below the curve of the lip of the fender. I think this looks the best and does not require putting any form of edging on the fender lip to make it look right (IMHO).
I want to keep the stock fender width, just a bit more of an opening.
Right now I am running 33x11.50s, but will graduate to 35x10.50's at some point. I am running spacers so even with the 35's I should not have any rubbing issues on my Rubicon. The fender trimming is the cheapest rout to provide a little bit more space for the 35.
Thoughts?
