I'm sitting in the Jeep in a parking lot waiting for my shift to start with the AC running and the Jeep just died.
nothing works:
The alarm,
the lights
the windows won't close
The doors won't unlock or lock
Any ideas?

That is always a risk when you have aftermarket mod installed.
What code is throwing off?
I had the mechanic at the job look at it. Turns out I need alternator. Once he hooked up the quick charger all the electronics started working. And a few taps on the starter and she turned over.
So I am changing the starter and the alternator and the battery is being charged right now....

can you test the battery?
Yeah, we tested it. It was empty!!! It's being charged right now. In the morning when we Install everything we will see. If I have to replace it I have a new battery in the closet that I bought end of last year..

Sure sounds like a battery or battery terminal issue.

Let us know if a new battery does the trick. Often times once they go dead, they can't be brought back, even with an overnight charge.

what i wonder though, is that if you had the AC running, your engine should have been on which means your stator/alternator would have kept the battery to drain. i think you should check that too

edit 1, realized you already took care of that and changing your alternator!

Ok this is what we have... Turns out the alternator was bad. To be expected it is almost 10 years old.. put the battery isn't charging because the NEW PCM that was put in a month ago isn't working properly. Something Abt it isn't regulating the voltage. So he looking for a store still open to get a regulator to install.. I'm sorry if my explanation is lacking, but this is way out of my league.. LOL..

Sounds like it's way out of my league as well. At that point I'd be paying someone with the proper diagnostic tools to sort it all out.

I look forward to hearing what ends up solving it though, so please do report back (y)

Took it to my regular mechanic and be finally called an electrical guy to come in and find it, because he was having trouble as well.
A little strip of wires not even 5 inches long caused all this.

Wow, this just goes to show that sometimes things can be out of all of our league. I never would have thought to look there, so it's good that your mechanic had an electrical specialist to call in, because I'd have been there guessing all day!
