While driving intermittently, the wipers come on, the low tire pressure light comes on and the acceleration of the engine is sputtering. If you leave the car running it clears itself, the light go off the engine acceeration is normal and the wipers stop. This is a very strange issue because the engine is sputtering when accelrating so I don't think it is electrical. If it was just the wipers randomly coming on then ok but it is defintely all tied together. There are no error codes. battery and alternator tested good. Has anyone ever seen this? Do I take it to a mechanic or an auto electrical place?

I would start out by cleaning the battery cables terminals and other grounds.

A sputtering while driving could also be the under hood insulation being sucked over the air intake for the air filter. Has been a know problem a few times.

Thank you for replying. So the battery cables and grounding look intact. Both these symtoms happen at the same time. Once the wipers start moving, the low tire pressure light illuminates and the sputtering begins. Once the wipers stop and the light turns off the sputtering stops. THey are all related to the problem. I don't have low tire pressure, that is simply a symptom of the problem. The question is what would make the vehicle sputter/wipers come on/low tire pressure light comes on then after a couple mintes, it all stops and the car runs again. This has happen one minute after starting the car before I put it in drive, another time it happen after I drove off and drove for about a mile in the middle of driving. Super speractic. Would an electrical problem cause the car to sutter during acceleration?

All your symptoms are a electrical problem, broken, missing or dirty grounds is usually the problem. That's the first and easiest thing to do, just because they are intact doesn't mean they are clean or the cables are good.

Got it. I appreciate you confirming this. I will focus on finding that issue. I will post what I find. Thank you!

So today I found that a bolt that connects several ground cables to the chasis of the car located near the battery was loose. I am hoping I get very lucky and that solves the issue. I tightened it up drove it for a while today and so far so good. I will know in a couple of days if this solves the issue.

It has been a solid two weeks and the Jeep issue I had is resolved thanks to BLACKJKU. Love this forum!
