Okay folks, don’t roast me for this, I already feel dumb enough over this as it is...

I just bought my first Wrangler, a 2015 Sport, and now that Spring is coming up on us and temps in KY approached 80 degrees today, I decided that I’d check out the AC. Problem is, I’m not even sure if this thing has it. The climate control dials aren’t even labeled for AC, no indicator lights are on the dials, and as far as recognizing the AC system under the hood, that’s out of my league (I’m not totally worthless under the hood, but as far as AC goes, I’m clueless). The buttons can be pushed, but it seems like nothing’s changing.

So did I blow it and need to resign to sweating my backside off in the summer? On the plus side, the heater’s nice and toasty...

We don't roast people here, no fear of that. We may razz, but that's different.

Welcome to the forum, but it sounds like you don't have a/c. The equipment listing link will confirm. It's a tedious and expensive (say, $4k) job to retrofit, btw.

Step 1: Lift the hood.
Step 2: Take photo of engine bay
Step 3: Post photo here
Step 4: A quick look by any one of a large number of regulars will be able to help you out.

$4k, huh? Looks like I’m gonna be saving up some change if I really want this then. Best left to the dealer or to a reputable independent shop?

I have AC but almost think I could do without it. When it gets warm enough for AC, the top goes down until it's cold enough for the heater. I don't daily drive my JK and really never HAVE to drive it anywhere. I'm glad I have it just in case though.

Personally, I would live with it until you can't, then sell it for one that already has it.

If it helps I just did the same thing....the dealer ad said a/c so I believed it and didn't check. Life lesson I guess.
