How do I identify 5.7 Hemi engines?

I bought a Hemi swapped 07 JKU a few months ago and I do not know much about it. How do I identify the motor? Any numbers on the block or any info from a jscan? While I am asking this question, how do I identify my trans? Knowing some basics would help me with repairs and the like. I have a weepy water pump right now. My shop wants to order it ahead of time but I don't have the info to give them.

5.7L and 6.1L Hemi casting numbers are on the front of the block, drivers side.
6.4L Hemi has BG or BGE cast into the side or rear of the block.

The transmission will have casting numbers as well, but finding out what engine you have will give you a starting point.

If you have access to JScan or another OBD-II scanner, you can typically read out the Engine Control Module (ECM) data and retrieve the engine type from there. It should display a code or model number that indicates the type of engine, along with other data like fuel type, and the transmission system. JScan might give you the full vehicle info, including the swap details if programmed correctly.
