So I got the itch last weekend to get offroad. The only legal spot that's not closed for the season right now is The Gultches offroad park, right outside Laurens South Carolina, about 2 hours from me. So I loaded the kids up and off we went. The willys jk did well! Didn't do anything crazy, and stayed on mostly "easy" trails, but had a great time. Didn't get many pictures, as I was driving and supervising kiddos, but here's a couple. I highly recommend the park, as the owner was very friendly, and sent a "ranger" as a guide for me to follow as I leaned their map.

Looks like a lot of fun!

I remember the first time I went off-roading, it was one of those eye-opening experiences where I later asked myself, "Why didn't I do this sooner!?".

Same thing happened when I raced my motorcycle for the first time at a track day. Talk about a feeling of exhilaration.

Nice! I will be going to the Gulches as my maiden voyage to test my rig when its finished being built.

"Hey kids, build a sand castle. Don't tell mommy what I am about to do". LOL
