If you can, I would order some new nuts for the doors. They definitely protect the pins from the elements. I left my nuts off for a while and the rain/weather got to my door pins and dried them out, which made them super sticky and hard to lift out. I ended up spraying a little WD-40 around the pins (from top and bottom), then swinging the door open and closed all the way a few times, to work it in there. Before swinging the doors wide open, I unhooked the straps from the inside and unplugged the door wiring. I wouldn't try to pry on them, because that sheet metal is really easy to bend. But if that's all you're left with, you can always wedge some soft wood or similar material between the step bars and the bottom of the door and lightly nudge them upwards. Before you mount them back, just lubricate the door pins with a light coating of grease. Makes for a much easier removal next time and keeps things from getting rusty!
