How does one know if the Possessed Jeep Syndrome is the clock spring or the TIPM?
I was out driving today when my horn blew continually, my wipers (rear & front) and washer fluids went on rapid fire. I pulled over a minute later, turned the car off. This all continued another 30 sec. and then finally silence. I had read that it could be a bad battery. I went and immediately got my checked and found out mine was bad and had it replaced. This afternoon when I turned on the Jeep, it honked at me once on its own. I read on forums it could be the clock spring or the TIPM. Within the past two years, I have had both front wheel sensors replaced and the TIPM. I am not a mechanic so I don't remember which parts fixed this previously. Several years ago when these symptoms happened, there were other problems as well- cruise not working, the Jeep would randomly fight me to even go 25mph and the dash board was light like a Christmas Tree.
I did have several things happen this week which I wonder if they could have caused the problem. I had the blower motor resister replaced, a headlight went out, and I unplugged and removed all of my doors for the first time. I don't know if any of these things could trigger this problem.
