I just recently bought a 2017 JK with only 1 key. Has anyone recently purchased, programmed and cut a flip key fob? I do see older threads where the links are outdated. Just don’t like the old school injection transponder keys.

I bought this KeylessOption Keyless Entry Remote Control Car Flip Key Blade Fob Uncut Blank Chip Transponder Replacement had it cut and I programed it with jscan. It works fine but has no remote start function.

I bought this last year in December. Had it cut at my local Ace Hardware for a couple bucks. I did have to remove the blank so it would fit in the key machine.

Of course it says that. It's not for a JK. The JK`s never came with a folding key but it will work just no remote start.It has the Amazon warning

I bought (2) new flip keys from FleaBay, had them cut, used jScan to program them, and my remote start works - sometimes.
I have to press all (3) button at the same time to get it to work, and that usually causes me to press the panic button first, which disables the remote start circuit because the ECU responds just like if an alarm had been set off.
My Charger was similarly equipped; if there is a CEL, an active code, the panic button had been set off, or a few other reasons it would not allow a remote start to function.
