I just bought a 2 door 2010 Everest edition Sport And am looking for recommendations for the best lift system to mount in a garage. I’ve seen both the block and tackle and winch systems and am looking for an easy one person system.

i used to own a pulley system i got from Quadratec. worked great. my new garage is a bit lower, so i went a got a Top Lift pro lift/ stand. Really recommend it. you can use it to lift your doors off too

Thanks for the suggestions? With the Harken Hoist, do the garage rafters need to be spaced 16"? We have an older garage and the rafters are every 32". Before I buy the system, I want to know if I can attach the mounting boards on two rafters vs. four. I'm guessing yes, since hardtops weigh about 150 lbs.

I made ours. I made an I shaped frame with 2x4s, then drilled holes at each corner and ran rope through with large hooks on the end. Drilled hole in the center and tied a short loop with rope to lift from. Installed an atv winch from HF and works great. Less than $100!

I made mine with a harbor freight 880# electric hoist, some uni-strut, and Topsy Products hinge hoist bracket kit. It works great I can easily take it off by myself in less than 15 minutes. Overkill yes but that’s an expensive top hanging above my Jeep.
