Fuel pump guage not working

I Have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sport that the fuel guage stopped working on empty and light on, I replaced with a new pump and checked connector and wiring at tank all look good, I also check the fuel related fuses under hood and they are good, it worked for about 5 minutes then guage went back out after I installed new pump!

When it worked for five minutes, what was different? Was this after you changed the pump and checked connections at the tank, or was it after you checked fuses? Wee there any popped fuses?
