Electrical Connector that dropped down from under dashboard

Does anyone know what this connector (plug) is for. It dropped down from under the dashboard. Not sure what the connector is for? can anyone recognize?
also, there is another "receiver" that seems to match.
Before I plug the tow items together and burn out/up some electrical parts, hoping for some help.

Just bought the vehicle a week ago, used 2013 model, and have not had the time to pull into garage and start tracing. Guess I was hoping for some quick input..

My guess it goes to something that's Aftermarket that gets it's reading from the OBD port, I have this OBD gauge the one on the left in the picture.

Thank you. The only aftermarket item I have, or is aware off, is a new Pioneer head unit. I do think that this Pioneer version has the ability to show some "drive" data info.

I have no idea on that maybe someone else will know.

My Unit on the dash shows these things from the OBD:

Speedometer
RPM's
Volts
Air/fuel ratio
Coolant and oil temps

There's no way to be certain without tracing it back to where it goes. It could be a multitude of things: GPS-enabled vehicle monitor, aftermarket gauge/readout (like ScanGauge II), or even an aftermarket radio interface.

The plug does look a lot like the iDatalink connector, so that would be my guess if I had to make one:

Thank you Pc1P - I will try to trace or maybe remove/reinstall the Pioneer unit and see if wires initiate from there or a downstream module.

I think you nailed it. I have a maestro thingy hooked to my aftermarket kenwood head unit, it shows things like door ajar, water temp, rpm, etc. Pretty cool features. OP, if your aftermarket head unit (Pioneer) is fairly new, it is probably for that. Only used when you plug it into the port to use the extra accessory.
