My son pulled the cover off my 2012 Sahara just to look under it. Now It runs smooth but has no power. I can barely reach seventy in fifth or sixth with the pedal on the floor. Just removed the cover and replaced it nothing else. No codes no lights no indication of problems.
Doesn't make since!

What cover? Are you talking about the underhood insulation?
If so it's probably laying on top of the air intake and choking it off.
