It's literally plug and play. We both had the RHR 730 N. No. It's got a 10.1" touchscreen, so there's no way it could fit the tiny OEM opening. It clips into the OEM spot, but extends towards the rear of the Jeep a little, so it can flare out in all directions. It partially obstructs the view of the front power window switches, but that's mostly due to angles. I'm 6'1". A shorter person would find the view less obstructed. It does not interfere with operating the switches at all. There are options for flush mounting the same or similar units. They cost $1200 or more. I actually prefer this, in part because I am a tinkerer. I rarely have to actually unbolt the dash any more. I can grab the head unit, pop it out, and access most everything in the top-center dash. I have even passed wires with the dash in place. Since September. Yes. I personally use iOS, but we have a rather large family, and there are heathens in the family who use Android. Yes. It's actually an Android tablet itself, so anything you can do on your tablet or phone, you can do on it. I've got BlueDriver and JScan on ours, as well as a number of different map apps. Happy to help.
