Anyone know of specific "good" spots near Lassen NP or areas to avoid since the fire? Wanted to head that way for a camping trip with the family but completely new to me area. We'll be doing mostly touristy things in the park, just want to stay close to the park. Most spots in the park are already booked up and I'm not a huge fan of the packed campgrounds anyway. I'm sure we can wing it, but one thing I have learned with two young ones. Winging it does not always go well. Cheers Scott
