Dash light on my 2010 Sport (odometer / tachometer area) isn't illuminated with lights off

It seems the only way to get it to light up is to drive with parking lights on. This can’t be right or can it be ? Cheers.

I don't remember ever seeing mine illuminated unless the lights were on. That's why I got this, much easier to see along with the other important gauges.

My cluster only lights when the headlights are on. I set my foglights as DRLs with my Pro Cal and that doesn't illuminate the cluster either.
