Jeep 3.8 JK 2009.
I have a cylinder 1 misfire P0301. Also had EGR problem when it began, replaced EGR. If I swap plug leads 1 and 4 at coil code changes to P0300.

I have done the following:

Replaced EGR valve. EGR fault gone.
Tested coil - ok
Tested fuel injectors both resistance and I can hear tick on cylinder 1 injector when running.
Replaced plugs and leads.
Cylinder compression about 190

What I did notice when I replaced plug wire 1, was the wire was burned about 1/4 inch at plug end. Others ok.

Any ideas will be much appreciated.

Did you use OEM plugs and wires?

Did you do a ECM reset?
Thanks for the reply. Not OEM but recommended for vehicle by advanced auto. Just did reset. P0301 still there. Jeep is running a little rough. Thinking about taking out and inspecting injector 1. I did check resistance and can hear it activate.

Just a tip these JK's are real picky on what gets installed on them as far as electrical.
