CV joints??

I have a 2008 Wrangler and it has a clicking noise when you put it in 4WD. I took it to a mechanic recently was told my cv joints are worn out. I was told told I may as well just replace the whole driveshaft while I was at it by one person. Another person told me just the cv joints would be fine. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The mechanic must not know much the Jeeps don't have CV joints they have axle shafts.

Just jack the front axle off the ground and put the transfer case in 4x4 and move a tire back and forth and listen for the noise and look to see what it is making it.

Sounds like you also need to shop for a new mechanic
