Cavfab 1-ton steering

Does anyone have any experience with Cavfab? They make a couple of different 1 ton steering setups for the JK at a pretty good price point. I'm getting ready to order there 1 ton drag link flip kit.

Can't speak for any 1 ton steering setup yet as we're having to install a similar setup but costing twice as much as the Cavfab. I suspect that 1 tons steering assemblies are going to be in demand because of the number of flop issues with the lessor components. Let us know how well the installation goes as I'll be doing the same with our assembly in two weeks.

@Wcampbell40 Yep! Doetsch is awesome! I did a whole write up on my set up. Great customer service and a even better product! 110% recommend. Its about 100 more than the Cabfab kit you are looking at, but aluminum which is so much better than steel in this area.

I actually just ordered the Doetsch kit. I emailed Cavfab 5 days ago with a question and never heard back from them so that scared me away. I did some more research and decided I liked the idea of the aluminium and Doetsch has some really good reviews. Thanks for the recommendation!

I just got my my Doetsch 1 ton high steer kit delivered and it looks awesome! I have all the parts taken off my jeep and hopefully I'll be able to get it all installed tomorrow. Anyone have any tips for drilling the top knuckle hole for the flipped drag link? Or any other tips in general for installing a 1 ton steering set up.

Do you have over a 3 inch lift? If you don’t, you’ll need to get the under knuckle.
That’s what I went with as I don’t have any lift.

if you need the over knuckle, I can’t offer any help, but if you give them a call or shoot them a message on social they should be able to help.

I think the drilling portion is super straightforward though. Just start smaller and work up to the 7/8” drill bit.

I have a 4 inch lift so I went with the flip kit. It all went smoothly. I just took it on a short drive and got it up over 70. It's rides and steers so smooth that I haven't even bothered with putting the steering stabilizer back on yet. Thanks for the advise everyone!
