I just bought a 08 jk. After some digging it appears that it has bump steer. I took a picture of the front but it doesn't seem to have the typical unparallel. Any suggestions?

Well I hate to say this but you probably have quite a bit going against you because most people just do tires and a lift and don't do them correct.
Over inflated tires will do that, most will do the chalk test to determine how much pressure.
Any lift over 2.5" should have adjustable control arms and adjustable track bars front and rear to make sure the axles are centered under the Jeep.
Have you checked to see if the speedometer was recalibrated after the tires were put on?
