Stupid question…. Is there a way I can install body cladding with some type of adhesive instead of drilling holes in the body?

Thats how a lot of plastic body panels and aftermarket accessories are mounted. But I would imagine that could only work with DIY custom cut aluminum panels and other lightweight materials.Stupid question…. This is steel but I’ve got some 60lb adhesive?Thats how a lot of plastic body panels and aftermarket accessories are mounted. But I would imagine that could only work with DIY custom cut aluminum panels and other lightweight materials.
I thought about black matte spray paint under it?Not a stupid question. But yes you could use 3m tape made for automotive applications. Only problem you would have screw holes showing.
This ^^^^^. That way you are not seeing your body armor flying off down the highway.Check out automotive panel bond. I've used it for door skins, dually fenders and a quarter panel on an Acura RSX. You could use the panel bond to fill in the holes for a "clean" look or find screws you like, cut the heads off and panel bond them into the holes.
