Anyone else need new engine

I have a 2015 Unlimited with 127k miles. At 84,000 miles, a cylinder became bent that required me to get a new engine. Thankfully, it was covered under my powertrain warranty. 40,000 miles later I need a new engine because I have a stuck valve. 2 engines in 4 years seems insane to me. Every mechanic I have spoken to says this is well known amongst Chrysler engines. Have y’all ever heard of this?

The first few years of the 3.6 engine had it's problems, they were used in many Chrysler vehicles.

My 2014 at 106k is still going strong and the only issue was a rear seal leak, repaired under warranty a few years ago.

I find it ironic that both times I have bought a jeep, my researched said the engines were rock solid!

My first was a XJ with the 4.0 and 64k miles on it. Developed piston slap a week after I bought it.

My next jeep is a 2015 JKUR with the 3.6. again another "rock solid" engine. Bought it with 93k and within 4k miles of buying it, it had a rocker arm start tapping.

My point being, is sometime you just get some bad luck, but overall they are supposed to be very dependable....until they are not!
