Any solution to raise the rear axle shock mounts?

Seems like the JK/JKU utilizes rear shock mounts that hang well below the axle tubes. Anyone found a solution to raise those up out of harms way?

This exists:

However, it seems with that solution that you end up with a shorter shock, which would mean less travel, right?

I suppose that depends on what you are adding bumps for. If you had 2" inch bump stops due to tire clearance not compressed shock length then you could potentially gain droop by moving the shocks mounts up. Having no experience withs JKs though I have no clue what is the limiting factor with 35s or 37s on any given lift size would be.

@Chris have you cycled the suspension in the rear? If so, what was the limiting factor?

Evo also makes a pair of raising mounts.

I didn’t install the lift, so I didn’t cycle the suspension. It makes me want to though, as I am curious.

What is going on above the upper shock mount?
There’s little room to gain anything there. The MetalCloak brackets would allow someone to do a budget boost and keep the stock shocks for bigger tires, little else I would think.

This is what I like, we are diving deep already. Curious minds are waiting @Chris we want details and pics.
That curiosity got me on funny spots more than once. Dang, I can't start to mess with the JK yet...

I wouldn’t mess with that MW3 they only made a limited number, what number is yours?
I'm not planning to mess with it at all beside I no have the budget for as the funds are going into the LJ built at the moment, maybe add a winch plate and a winch I have sit on my garage and put new tires. We removed the spare tire carrier as the tail gate its taking the load of the big tire it carry, but looking to get the AEV tire carrier for the bumper already has on it.
Its more my Girl pavement Queen Jeep and our to go on road vehicle.
Ours its 1631 of 3000.

Take a look at the Teraflex Alpha HD. I was going to do the same as you with the AEV until I found this

It replaces the hinges with a heavy duty bracket assembly
