2016 JKU Just upgraded to 35s. I currently am sitting at stock height. Just want some guidance on should I get a body lift? Also, my fan has become a lot louder.. is there a modification I need to do?

Flat top fenders will make the tires clear the fender. Is this a DD or do you offroad?

What fan the electric cooling fan or the HVAC fan?

No I didn’t regear it. Everything is stock except the steering stabilizer. I upgraded to a rancho.

What gears do you have in it, some JK's have 3.21's. If you have them then with the 35's it could be working your engine to much and it's running hotter for the reason the fan runs more. Did you recalibrate your speedometer?

I haven’t yet. I feel like my engine is running hotter. I honestly don’t know the gears that are on it. What do I do about the engine running hotter?

Okay, so your engine is running hotter because you put larger wheels and tires on. Without telling your JK you've put bigger wheels and tires on, your JK is using shift points associated with the smaller tires and wheels, resulting in higher RPMs and a hotter engine.

If it was a reputable tire shop who did the install for you, they should have flashed your ECU with the new diameter. If not, you'll need to go to a shop that will measure and reset the ECU accordingly.

having the correct tire size in the computer is especially important because it tells the transmission when to shift. Unless you have a manual transmission in which case its a safety thing about knowing how fast you are going.

35s on a stock 3.8, unless it's rubicon, is really pushing it. A manual, due to it's gearing is better than an automatic, but still is going to struggle. Even on the 3.6 engine 35s isn't going to work well if the jeep has 3.21 gearing.

Everyone here has asked questions about your jeep that will allow us to answer your questions. There is quite a bit of variation between years and trim levels. Those differences make a ton of difference in diagnosing the issue.

What year jeep?
Manual or Auto?
Was the speedometer adjusted?
Use the link above and enter your VIN. Or post your vin here that will allow us to take a look at what you are running.

My guess however is that you are over-stressing the engine with tires that the setup can't handle.

I am curious why of all things you upgraded the steering stabilizer. If the old one was leaking, good call. If the local shop talked you into it because "you need that with bigger tires" stop listening to that shop.

Post things that you would like to get done here and we can let you know if it is a good idea with whatever your setup is at that time.
