I use NGK in the Vette, but I am going to switch to Denzo. The NGK has a denser iridium, which means longer life, while the Denzo trades lifespan for bigger spark. The Vette is about performance; going 100,000 miles between plug changes is just not a consideration. I used Champions in her Rubi, and I have not yet changed the plugs in mine. You can't go wrong with either brand, really, but I do think NGK has the edge when you're pushing for max power in a heavily modified engine. When I swap them in my Rubi, I'll use whichever of those brands is cheaper the day I buy. Coil packs are expected to last "up to" five years or 120,000 miles. You're 5 years and 36,000 miles over that. Given that, and since you have the engine torn down anyway, it really doesn't make any sense not to replace them as well. For the "OEM IS THE ONLY OPTION" crowd, it's worth remembering that between them, NGK and Champion provide virtually all OEM plugs. Just make sure you get the right plug and gap them correctly and you'll be fine.
