Any recommendations on the brand of speaker for replacing the top factory speakers (above front seats) without a lot of modifying? I was hoping that the replacement would fit in the housing. I wanted something with better sound and bass.

I recently installed a pair of Rockford Fosgate Model 1650 6.5" to replace the OEM Mopar speakers in the soundbar. There were a few challenges along the way, but I'm very happy with the end product and result. Front under dash speakers are next.
Thanks for the kind words, mrjp!
I'm not sure how you interpret "without a lot of modifying," but I can tell you that the OEM speakers, with their unique 3 external tab mounting screws did pose a bit of a challenge, but once I collected all the right parts, it came together within a couple hours and was well worth it. There is no easy 1-for-1 swap with the speakers, sorry. But I'd be more than happy to walk you thru my experience and share my lessons learned and the install itself.
I put JL Audio in our 2010. Any good name brand will probably work though. As Anybodyhome stated, none of them will drop right in and use same holes. I put the JL Audio in front and sound bars. They came with an adapter ring. The front fit good without the ring. The sound bar I used the ring and had to put new holes for the screws. I also put some silicone to seal them. I think some will come with a gasket which is what the OE has.
