I’m working on my son’s 2013 Jeep Wangler JK with 104k miles. Last time I posted in here was help with EVAP issue which was resolved.

Right now we are getting a check engine light on and stored code showing B2102. TIPM
Ignition run stop curcuit high.
Can anyone tell me what this is or anything to check?

Thank you.

You very well may have gotten this fixed and it sux no one helped you out but in the event that you haven't I would do a couple things to begin diagnosing it. The code suggests that the circuit is high, which could point to a problem with the wiring, connectors, or the TIPM itself.

-Inspect the wiring that connects to the TIPM and the ignition components. Look for any signs of corrosion, damage, or loose connections that might be causing an issue in the circuit.
If the TIPM is malfunctioning, it could incorrectly interpret the ignition run/start signal, triggering the B2102 code. The high voltage in the circuit typically suggests a problem inside the module itself. Diagnosing this will often require testing the TIPM's functionality and potentially replacing the module if it's determined to be faulty.

-The B2102 code could be caused by damaged wiring or a poor connection in the Ignition Run/Start Input circuit, which could interfere with the signal being sent to or from the TIPM. Check for any frayed or corroded wiring, especially where the circuit connects to the TIPM or ignition components. Sometimes, a simple issue like a loose connector or corroded wire can lead to erratic behavior in the circuit and cause the high voltage error.
