I have ordered from the jeep dealer a new antenna base and cover because the antenna had been broken and the base is rusted. I wanted to install myself but cannot find adequate info online on how to do this. Thank you for any info!

The wire coming from the antenna base itself goes to the back of the stereo head unit, so you'd have to remove it in order to disconnect the wire.

You know....I don't know, I thought that I would have to install with wires and all. It looks like on this video that he is simpmy installing a aftermarket base over what is currently in place. Mine has had the antenna off apparently for some time and the base has rusted inside whwre the antenna would sit. I ordered the factory base to replace this. I have pulled off the glove box but cannot visibly see any wiring. May have to pay the dealership to install.
