Hello all.

Trying to track down the cause of a P2096 CEL in my fiances 2014. We checked the o2 sensor voltage on the scanner and upstream on bank 1 was steady between 0.75 and 0.85. We swapped the upstream sensor since it looked lazy and it stayed the same with the new sensor. LTFT on bank 1 peaks at +15-17% during highway driving and +5 to 8% at idle. I'm a euro guy so Jeeps are fairly new to me. Any advice where to look next before my smoke machine gets delivered?

Thanks,

P2096 is going to be your o2 sensor after the cat on the passenger side. I'd check that o2 sensor and run a bottle of CataClean through the Jeep.

Also something else that's good to do on these Jeeps is to replace the Battery Clamps with some HD ones. The electronics needs a good ground.

On our initial investigation, we didn't pay the downstream sensor much mind as it was mostly inline with the bank 2 downstream readings and looked ok on the scanner, but probably not a bad idea to replace since it's cheap and easy enough before we get too far into the weeds.

I'll get some new terminals ordered. Appreciate the help!

Be sure to use NTK O2 Sensors so that you are using the same as OEM.
