Hi,
I was hoping someone could give me some ideas on what to check, it seems like my whole fuel system has decided to start throwing codes. I don't want to jump to conclusions and assume it is all related, but it seems like it might be related.
2 weeks ago I got a P0306 (cylinder 6 misfire) and a P219B bank 2 air-fuel imbalance code at the same time. The P219B code cleared and never came back. To get the P0306 code to clear I went in and changed coils and spark plugs. I went ahead and did all 3 cylinders on the drivers side since I was already in there (cylinder 2,4,6). The P0306 code cleared and has not come back, however, when I read the live data with my scanner, I am still getting misfires on cylinder 6 (I guess I am just not getting enough to trigger the code anymore).
Fast forward to today, I am getting a P0303 (cylinder 3 misfire) and P0203 (cylinder 3 fuel injector circuit malfunction/open circuit). I am tempted to jump in and start troubleshooting the fuel injector, but I did that with my last code, and I am still showing misfires on cylinder 6. I am wondering if I have either a cleanliness issue or an electrical issue plaguing the whole system. The weirdest part of it all is the car is not running different at all, it can occasionally be sluggish in idle, but this jeep has always had a slightly rough idle. When driving/accelerating the engine does not feel rough at all.
I went ahead and added a cleaning additive to my gas tank (because why not, maybe some trash or bad gas got in the system). Has anyone else experienced multiple different fuel system codes on multiple cylinders without noticeable change to the ride quality.
Any and all suggestions are welcome, if not I am probably just going to replace all my fuel injectors since it's a pain to get to them and replace the passenger side spark plugs and coils while I am at it and hope something sticks.
