Hey all, the last time I needed you guys you came through clutch! So here’s another one. I live in WI so on the way to work this morning it was a little cold. Turned knob to heat….no change in air temp. From coldest to hottest dial temp the air stays the same. A/C works great. I can change all the air from feet, dash, defrost like normal and all directionality works. Coolant level is good. Rubber hoses from heating core (pulled plastic motor cover) behind and left of motor, are both hot after getting home today. When I have key “on” and move coolest setting to hottest I can hear the actuator? Making a noise but no results. Is the blend door actuator the problem? I did use heater a couple times about a month ago and all was ok. I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited. The light on the defrost has always blinked for 20-30 seconds before fans turn on if that means anything.

As always I appreciate all feedback, this site is amazing for info. If you need more info please ask!

I have the same blinking light. My understanding is that the hvac system is resetting itself. Mine appeared after I replaced the center blend door. Got the dreaded clicking and was driving the wife crazy!!! It’s a real pain to get to. Now I have a code that says blend door restrictions. No air movement under the dash. In my rush to install, I didn’t get the connection right. It was very hot, summertime, I was grumpy, anyway. Now that it’s cooling off, I’ll take it all apart and reinstall correctly. We are in north Florida, doesn’t get to cold here . Oh, it’s a 2012 jku. Hope this helps.

Sounds like a blend door actuator. Happened on my 2014 years ago when it was still under warranty. Could hear the clicking of the relay, but nothing worked except the AC. The shop charge was about $140, although it was covered by warranty, I saw what they were billing Stellantis for the work.

It is not your t-stat.
