I have a "lifetime warranty" on my 2008 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara in very good condition.
The dealer told me that my Mopar is now saying the contract is "pending cancellation"????????????
I paid it in full when I purchased the vehicle.
Anyone had this problem?

I have heard that Chrysler is wanting to get rid of the existing Life Time warranty's

Mopar still offers a 5 year or 100k mile warranty. They are expensive though. I had one priced for mine this year and it was close to 3k. It's so costly that it would make more sense to sock that money in a CD account and hope to not touch it before it matures. And fingers crossed, never have to use it on the Jeep. But we all know with JK's that its only a matter of time before a big ticket fix pops off.

Actually, they are not trying to "buy out". They are trying to bail out without valid explanation.
Moreover, this lifetime warranty contract was very expensive at the time. The JEEP has only 60,000 miles and is in very good shape. My level of frustration is very high specially after calling JEEP several times and getting all kinds of different answers, some of them not even relevant to this contract. (They think is the powertrain one.......)

Well, the plot thickens........
There are actually two different contracts: 1. The lifetime Powertrain contract and, 2. The lifetime Maximum care contract that covers several other components: brakes, electronics, suspension, steering, etc. which is the one I have.
It seems that the Powertrain contract requires an inspection after 5 years.
The Lifetime Maximum Care contract does not.
JEEP is now claiming that I failed to have my car inspected after 5 years so my contract is now "pending cancellation". Funny because my contract has no such requirement.
Their response (first heard today) is that the contracts are "linked" so an inspection is required.
So, unilaterally and without informing the owner, JEEP is trying to create a requirement that it is NOT in the Maximum Care Contract by claiming that there is a different contract with a different requirement that I should have fulfilled. I have never seen a Powertrain contract and they have no record of notifying me of any unilaterally imposed requirement.
I am not a lawyer but what they claim makes no sense.
I'll keep you guys posted. I would love to hear from other owners going through this ordeal.

They keep calling for me to contact them so they can update their original quote. Not only is it expensive but they'd have to have someone inspect it and that comes out of my pocket whether they pass or fail me. 🤣
