I have a stock 2015 JK Willys 2dr, except for 285/70 17 tires (33 vs 32). I planning on adding a

Meyer HomePlow Basic Snow Plow 23250/ Curt front receiver 31432 this winter. Does anyone have this setup? How is working for you? My concern is Meyer says the hitch height needs to be 10" - 13" from ground. eTrailer install video say the Curt hitch height is 24" to the top of the receiver(I don't by it since it is 19" to the bottom of my bumper), and Draw Tite hitch is 18 1/2". Is a drop/rise adaptor needed. Any help would be appreciated

I plow with a snow bear.
been plowing my 400 foot rough drive for 20 years
This year I hooked it up to my 2013 JK using a front trailer hitch.
Using a draw tight front trailer hitch was too much for the hitch.
The plow kept getting lower and lower. I welded the hitch tube back to the bracket and now use a ratchet strap from the plow frame to the jeeps tow hitches.

As to plowing, I have moved 8 inches of heavy wet snow with no problem. I don't jolt the jeep. Let off the gas and push the clutch at the end of the run.

The Meyer looks better than the snow bear. Jeep no problem. Question is the tongue weight.

My setup is much more basic. I bought a plow that was originally intended for a Polaris side-by-side. It uses the winch on my bumper. Works very well for me . I like the plows that are lightweight in total overall weight. Easier on the front end.
