Lift kit and tire size

I recently purchased a 2018 JKU and I want to lift it and get bigger tires. I want to do it strictly for the look. So mostly on road with some dirt road use. Any recommendation on 4" lift and tire size or would a 2" be more economical meaning I don't need to upgrade axles, drive shaft or gears. I was seriously thinking about adding a steering stabilizer as well. Again I want off road capabilities and the look but seriously doubt I will be doing any rock crawling or anything like major off road obstacle trails. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What's your current gearing? IMHO, that'll have a bigger impact on tire size than lift will. From the capabilities you described I'd look into 33's, no lift, and maybe flat fenders if more clearance is needed. I'm from the school of biggest tires with the least amount of lift. Just by bigger tires and flat fenders you can get an extremely aggressive look.

I'm curious though, why new steering stabilizer?

If you go over a 2.5 " lift it will just about cost you double because to do it right it needs more parts.

Your gearing you have now could prevent you from going with to tall of a tire without a gear change.

Taller tires and or a gear change requires the speedometer to be recalibrated.

Like said above flat top fenders will make it look lifted and allow a taller tire.

The 1.5" difference between a 2.5" versus a 4" lift could easily cost you an extra couple thou and means a significant change in geometry, therefore requiring a lot more parts and labor to make it right. You may want to rethink how you want to use your vehicle instead of deciding how you want it to look.
I have a 2.5" lift with 35s and I do plenty of moderate trails with no problem. I'm not rock climbing with it, but I never intended to because it's also my daily driver. I like my stance, clearance is decent, and she handles really well.
