Plenty of posts related to radios, but none seem to answer the question about poor satellite radio reception.
The whip antenna is original, and the connection at the fender mount is tight and clean; I do not believe that this is also the satellite antenna.
Can anyone tell me where is the XM antenna is located in a 2015 Rubicon?
Time to check some connections.

It's under the roll bar padding on the passenger side.

(not my pic)

Not really. The hardtop/softtop is invisible to RF, so theoretically it has great line of sight to satellites. It's also protected being in that little recess. Its also the GPS antenna, IIRC.
True that. Many moons ago when I had satellite radio, I had the antenna near the windshield, but times have changed lol

I have a lifetime Sirius/XM account, but the reception is so terrible that I'm reconsidering having it transferred to this radio.
I hate that antenna location because i have to pull the hard top to access it, not because it's a 'bad spot'...

If you plan on running a roof rack or RTT, those can interfere with it as well. Not the easiest to get to.
