35x11.50x20 tires on a JKU with no lift

A friend of mine gave me his 20 inch moto metal rims on 35's, but i my jeep is all stock. would i be able to put the tire and rim set on my jeep without a lift?

If it's just a DD you probably could, what is your gear ratio. Depending on what gears are in the axles will depend on putting the tires on. If you have 3.21 gears no unless you do a gear change.

i use it as a daily driver, im unsure of the gear ratio. i have a 2017 jku sport, no tow package or anything.

Give it a try. You will know real quick if you like it or it don't work out.

i just looked it up on the site you gave me , its says 3.21 rear axle ratio

Just remember if you do put them on you'll have to recalibrate your speedometer especially if you have a automatic. Your transmission won't shift right and your speedometer will be way off.

My Jk had 35's on it with a manual trans and 3.21 gears and I didn't like them so I put stock size back on it.

Here's a chart for the gearing needed for a 3.6 on different size tires. 3.21's not gonna be great.

Just to give the reason for the general dislike for 20 inch rims on Wranglers.

At their core wranglers are off-road vehicles. There are certain creature comforts in other vehicles that have never made it into wranglers to maintain that off-road ability. Adding larger than 17 inch wheels to a wrangler is basically an announcement that there is no intention to use the jeep for off-roading as low profile tires are really bad off-road and have a severely increased chance of coming off the rim.

That being said, we do all understand that there are certain places where jeep + low profile tires are a status symbol, and jeeps are all about self expression, so you do you. However, if you put them on though it is highly suggested to stay on pavement.
